Just got a 2006 Audi A4, have a question
I can't seem to find the button where you can switch between MPG, Average Trip, Miles left before you need to fill up. I read the manual and it says there is supposed to be a button the windshield wipers. I don't have those buttons, but on the screen I only get the miles left before I need to fill up. I'm sure there is a way to change that... maybe someone knows?
Otherwise, the car is great! Thanks for the help!

Does it come equipped with the Tech package. If not, you are not going to be able to have access to those calculations.

What comes with tech pkg?
Tech (convenience in 2007) package comes with HomeLink, rain & light sensors, trip computer, power passenger seat, memory driver's seat, bi-xenon headlights, auto-dimming/folding mirrors.
I liked the way the B6es were equipped better. Trip computer was standard instead of part of a package, and front & rear heated seats were available in the 1.8T (only front heated seats are available unless you get a 3.0 now). If I were to "upgrade" from my 2002 1.8T to a 2006/2007 2.0T, I'd lose features, or have to get packages with features I don't want to get features my car came with, or get a 3.2.
If you want a trip computer, you can replace the wiper stalk and recode the instrument cluster to add the functionality.

Maybe the option packages were different for the '06es (I looked at the Audi site to get the packages for the '07). Do you have the xenon lights?
Maybe in '06 there was a convenience package that gives you the Homelink etc. and a Tech package that gives you the trip computer and xenon, etc.
