Ok,
I will do that. I also heard that if you hear that noise it could be a sign that the Timing belt needs to be changed. True??? I have 83K on the car. I bought it when it had 80K. They said that they were not 100% sure that it had been changed. Is there anyway of checking the belt or tensioner to see if it's new or not?

That would be a different sort of ticking noise. Best thing to do if you are unsure about the timing belt/tensioner is to just replace them. Sure you can pull the timing belt cover off and look, but a timing belt with 80k miles on it isnt really going to look much different than one with 20k miles on it. If the engine had 80k miles on it when you got it, i would bet that it has not been done. You should do it ASAP.

AHHHH CRAP!!! I really didn't want to hear that!!! LOL

I guess I can just pick up the parts and spend the weekend taking my car apart!!! LOL

Actually I guess I could do that when I get chipped, my car will be down for a few days anyways so I guess that would be the best time.

lifter tick is whack... DSM's are way notorious for this annoying sound. It doesnt really affect anything its just annoying... and my audi has minor lifter tick but it usually sounds pretty good.
