Default Misfire Troubleshooting-Help-Solved!!!!

I have researched this topic but have been unable to solve my problem. I have a 2001 A4 1.8T(AWM engine code). I'm getting a flashing CEL and codes P300/301/302/303/304. The car is really not drivable due to the severe misfires. I replaced all 4 coil packs and spark plugs-no change, same codes. What else should I be checking here without throwing money at new parts?

Check your fuel. You may have bad gas. You didnt use E85 did you?

I didn't fill up with E85, and the misfires don't correlate with a fuel fill up. I do know that the MAF needs to be replaced(its on backorder) but the guys at ECS Tuning say this shouldn't cause misfire. Your thoughts? Could this be a fuel delivery problem(clogged fuel filter, gummed up injectors, etc.) causing the misfires? The engine idles fine and smooth. I have confirmed that each coil is supplying a spark (at idle) but when the engine is under heavy acceleration it misfires voilently.

Just thought I would update this thread. I disconnected the MAF and this eliminated the misfires. I suppose the MAF was supplying really-really bad data and the baseline setttings are sufficient to allow then engine to run OK. New part is on order.
