i can't wait to get everything installed. i have a 2003 1.8T and am in the process of upgrading the fronts. this is what my new set up will be:
- Brembo cross-drilled rotors
- Carbotech Panther Plus pads (assuming i get addicted to doing track events)
- Neuspeed stainless brake lines
- Motul 5.1 brake fluid

all together, this set up ran about $550. i know there should be a HUGE difference compared to stock. i'll report back once everything is in. i have almost all the part except for the pads which should be in the mail.

since i've never done brakes before, i'll have my shop do it for me but i'll be close by to watch and assist. i would like to know how to at least replace the pads myself for the future

 

thats a good idea. But some mechanics are gay and wont let u help b/c of "liabilty" but i think it cause they get nervous. I found the best is to find somebody that knows all about cars to help u.

 

actually the shop owner is a good friend of mine. in fact, he does all the suspension, brake, wheel, and paint work for ModSport customers here in the Los Angeles area.
