Default Oil leak, being diagnosed now

Well I was driving my 03 A4 1.8 T last night and the "oil min" light came on. Apparantly this means my oil is very low. I topped off, then checked in the morning for leaks and saw a significant amount of oil on the drivers side of the engine....pooling up where the dip stick goes into the block. It is NOT coming from the oil cooler/filter area, which ive heard is a common problem.
All that said, im not sure if this leak is significant enough to lower my oil alot, and i am aware that the Turbos on these cars do burn more oil then normal, ( the tech said 1 qt. every 5000 miles isnt abnormal). This all happened right after the 5000 miles since last oil change had been reached. Anyways the leak isnt helping matters, but i cant figure out where its coming from. It is lower then the head gasket, but higher then where the dipstick enters the engine (i can see a trail above it). It is around the area where the coolant lines enter the engine.

If anyone has had a similar problem please let me know what you came up with. The car is in the shop right now getting a pressure wash on the engine and some dye put in the oil so they can find the leak...(140 bucks !!! ) I will post when they tell me what is leaking, for future reference. My wallet is quivering with anticipation.

Well 130 bucks later with a clean motor they see no leaks with ultraviolet dye. Im going back in a week so they can check again, but they said it should be fine and to just watch my oil level. They work on alot of imports and have been in the business for years so i think they know about the 1.8 T. Seems strange but I guess ill live with it......if it gets worse then maybe a new turbo will be required.....cough upgrade excuse cough.

Use an oil with 40 viscosity hot.

Mobil 1 0W-40 is an example
