i would get the gt2871. i had the mika software and it worked for me. you will deff need a new dv.

 

The thing about this setup that I want, is that I do not want something with to much power or any reliability issues. As for the exhaust I would like something free flowing but not loud at all, if that is even possible. I like a clean mild sounding car with decent power. As long as the MIKA tuning works, I will be good with that. I will be ripping out the ECM and opening that puppy up for a visual inspection this weekend. Hopefully I will be able to repair it myself, otherwise I need to start looking for a new ECM. If anyone has a junked out Audi who's ECM would mate with my car, huk me up I am willing to pay a reasonable price for it.

 

Do yourself a favor and dont buy a turbo kit from atp. So many people every day complain about the wrong parts, surfaces which arent flat or smoothed out and parts that dont fit perfectly like the should. I have also heard the mika tuning sucks bad. What you should do is buy a ko4 turbo upgrade and get the giac programming for it. Its a bolt on turbo which is overall better and doesnt require a front mount intercooler if u didnt want to purchase 1 right away. The turbo is a lot more reliable than either of the turbos from atps eliminator series. Like you said you dont want to be fixing your car every week well with the ko4 u wont be but with an eliminator the chances are very likely. BTW I have the borla exhaust from awe tuning and the atp 3 inch test pipe and it sounds great and performs great.

 

So yeah, I bought a new ECM and took it to Audi to get it reprogrammed. They said it would take 2 weeks. I then took it to VW thinking they could help me out, and they sure did. VW said they could not access the Audi database but they asked me why the hell Audi is not honoring the warranty. I told them that since my car is at 56k it is 6k past factory warranty. They then told me that US federal law mandates that emissions parts are protected until 8 years 80k miles. Emissions as explained by Audi are: Catalytic Converter, OBD system, 02 sensors, and of course the DAMN ECM! So I took it to the local Audi and told them they can lick my chode and fix it for free. I pick it up this morning at no charge. So...anyone past 80k that needs a new ECM because I have an extra one!
