Default Question about MIL light.

Hey, I just replaced my ignition control unit 4D0 905 351. But my MIL light is still on. It was blinking, but now it is solid. Does this mean that my audi is still detecting a problem? Or does it need to be reset?

If it does need to be reset, how do I do that?

You can go to autozone and have them read it and then reset it. They'll do it for free. It seems to me though that you may have another underlying problem.

You could still have a problem or it is still on due to the stored code, it will need cleared to find out. Make sure you have the radio code and disconnect the battery for a few min. to reset, then hook it up,put in radio code, thentest drive it hard (hit all rpm's under load) to try to cause a misfire and if the light doesn't come back on your golden.
