Rear rotor replacement
I was told that a special tool is needed to retract the piston of the rear caliper. Does anyone know what this tool looks like and where I could get one? Your advise is very much appreciated.
Yeah, you can get them at pretty much any parts store cheap. Brakes on A4's are pretty easy, you can definitely save some coin doing it yourself. While you're at, it you might want to change your brake fluid too.
The rear piston needs to be turned to go in, while the front can be pushed in with brute force. The NAPA part mentioned below, I also purchased fro around $10.00. It is the GM-Ford Disc Brake Piston Tool, part number 3355. You can use your rachet to attach to this part, it will help give you more torque. Hope this helps..
