Default Remove Front Speaker Grill

I recently purchased a 2006 A4, and ever since, I've been hearing a rattling noise behind the driver side speaker grill when driving. When I tap on (the speaker grill), or around it, it sounds as if something is loose. My question is, can I remove the speaker grill itself, or do I have to remove the entire door panel? Again, it's a 2006 A4 2.0T. Thanks!

I have a B5, but on mine, the speaker grill is welded or glued on and I have to remove the whole panel. I would guess you do too.

That's what I was affraid of. I have seen several posts on how to remove door pannels older models, but none on newer models. Is it safe to assume that the process is the same?

Yeah, it's the same with all cars...you just have to find the screws and be gentle with lifting it off.

No its different on all from B5 to B6 and on. B6 and B7's are very similar, your won't lift off like the B5 will. You have to remove the trim on the top and remove the 4 screws there, remove the little plastic panel under the door handle and remove two more screws, then finally remove the black screw on the bottom of the panel.
Once you have them all out wedge a screwdriver under the panel so you can get you fingers in there then grab a hold of it and pull it out really damn hard. The clips will pop (some will break) then pull the panel off the door.

Great. Thanks. How difficult to remove the "wood" trim? Does it just pop off?

Yeah the trim just pops off, and no it wouldn't be under warranty.
