replace or resurface flywheel?
i have a 1996 audi a4 quattro with 230K miles was going to get a clutch kit with a new flywheel but the flywheel cost over half what i got the car for.... i am unsure how long the flywheels are suppose to last but seeing if there is another alternative here. with that many miles should i just suck it up and buy a new one or see if i can get away with resurfacing it.
Its best to replace a dual mass flywheel if possible. I do not think a machine shop can resurface your original flywheel.
Have you tried searching for a single mass flywheel and clutch kit that will fit your car? Try Four Seasons Tuning. They are very helpful.
