my A4 2.8 quattro had a bad right front inner CV joint. I had the axle replaced (non-OEM part). The first replacement axle came apart after about 20 miles so the shop put another one in which seems fine but now the drive shaft keeps pulling out of the transmission about 1/4 inch allowing a lot of gear oil to blow past the drive shaft oil seal. Is there a chance this new axle is shorter than the original causing the drive shaft to pull out? Anyone experienced this?

 

i dont have a great knowledge about this but is sounds like you got the wrong 1 fitted.

take it straight back before you do more damage.
