Hi all... I have a 2005 A4 1.8T Cabriolet. Bought it new. Since I've had it, the service indicator has either said service in something < 500 miles, or just "SERVICE!!"

I have RESET it many times, but each time, when it comes back on with numbers it starts counting down from 500 miles.

My question to you all is: does anyone know how to REPROGRAM (not reset) the Service Indicator mileage limit to 10,000? Evidently mine is set for 500!!

I have asked my dealer to REPROGRAM several times, but they just do the RESET which, of course, I have done also!!!!!!!

You can reprogram with Vag-Com on most models. Not sure about yours. Check the Ross-Tech website for more information.

 

When they rest it he counter should go to 5000 miles. If not, then there is something wrong.
