Yeah, its a poor substitute for a manual tranny, but much better than not being able to control your shifting at all. I haven't experienced that problem with mine, but good to know about it. I hope someone on this board can hook you up with an easy answer (the cardboard solution doesn't sound bad).

On a side note...there's been some noob-hating going on recently for people posting the same questions over and over, so props to Gregulator for clearly SEARCHING before he posted. By digging up an old thread, you save people the trouble of retyping information or finding the thread for you. Bravo Greg, you're a role-model for the kids! :-)
