silicon couplers and t-clamps. WHERE TO BUY?
for all you guys running a FMIC, where did you get your silicon couplers and t-clamps? i need to be able to custom order as well since im doing a 2" hot side and 2.5" cold side. i need some that will hold up under a full gt28rs setup, so none of those cheap typical clamps you would find at an autostore. i was gonna get some from 034 or FullRace but they are expensive as *****. $5 a clamp, $6 for regular connector, and $16 for each hump hose. and i need 6 couplers, and 12 clamps. so i dont wana drop 100-150 on just couplers and clamps

Check out www.bakerprecision.com - they have some quality stuff there in their connectors. As for the T-bolts, I"m not positive but I believe you can try out www.sgpracing.com or www.mvpmotorsports.com (a pair of Z tuning companies I bought from in the past - I'd be surprised if they don't have them). Also check out www.specialtyz.com - they may have them as well.

been looking around a lot, and it seems like 034's prices weren't that bad afterall. the cheapest i could find a 4-ply connector for is like 5 bucks a pop, 13 for a hump hose.
so my new question is do i need to use hump hoses? how much boost can the regular connectors hold before they start popping off?

Well, unless the difference in price is extreme, you might as well get the hump hoses so that you have that extra reassurance that the connectors are not going to blow off. You'll probably be fine with regular connectors but if there's not that much difference in price, you might as well get the better ones. That way also, if you end up running a BT later on, at least your piping connections are already up to the task, and you won't have to buy connectors for a second time.

that was my thinking but i need 4 straight connectors. 4 hump hoses will cost me 64, while 4 regular connectors only cost 24. 40 bucks is a lot to me right now lol so i thought i would ask

Until you are running significant boost, I wouldn't worry about the humps really - my only point in posing the idea of getting the hump connectors was if you were planning to go BT. I used regular connectors on all my piping on my Z at 17psi (which was turning out over 400whp) and had zero problems.

yeah, i was thinking of that too, cause gt28rs plans are in the immediate future, and 3076r plans are in the later future. So i need the connectors to hold up to a gt28rs, but when i go 3076r im just gona weld the connections so i wont even need connectors.
so i guess the question is, will i need hump hoses on a gt28rs?

It's a decent-sized turbo but not outrageous, so as long as you clamp tightly (maybe double-clamp if you don't use t-bolt clamps) you'll probably be just fine.
