I agree, the "Search" button should be made to be much, much more prominant in the way the forum is layed out. This is an archive of information to be referenced, you can post if you need additional information.

To improve the overall effectiveness of Searching, would it be possible to equip new posts with searchable "tags"? If you're posting a question about

which pads work best with a big brake kit and if the kit will clear their wheels

the thread window could have pull-down menus where the poster selects information relevant to their post "Brake Kit," "Brake Pad," "StopTech," or "Hawk" as appropriate. The poster could also select the model and other information to "B5 A4" "17-inch stock wheels" since this forum doesn't break down A4's by platform. This would allow people to search for specific tags, instead of just the text of posts and signatures.

A spell-check function wouldn't be bad either...the "brake pad" information you need may be out there, but you won't be able to find it if the guy who posted it spelled it "break pad" is his post.

Yep the zine is where a lot of knowledge stems from...Cleaner forum, more mature members, etc.
sorry mike but i'm gonna have to disagree with this statement 100%...az and aw seem to be clogged up with at least twice as many newbs and at LEAST 5 times as many kids flaming eachother...they're more like teen chat rooms than forums

Hey Beer Mod. I'm a noob, wanna shoot me down and humiliate me on this forum? How about being totally unwelcome? I swear I see your noob compmlaints at least once a week followed by your stupid kitty shot. Someone humiliate you sometime when you were younger? Did you get your a$$ chewed everytime you asked a legitimate question, or even a dumb one? Feel sorry for you man, all you are is a forum hog.

Why don't you start your own forum? I hope there's something out there that you don't know much about and get reammed for it by someone more knowledgeable than you some day.

By the way, I just joined audi forum because I had to get a shot in on this creep. I enjoy the threads and there is a ton of helpful information on this site ( thanks to all you legitimate, understanding souls), but this kid takes it too far on his noob pokes and I had to reply.

Nice name too Beer Mod. Guess you like Beer, huh Homer.

Wow I'll bet your parents FU(KING hate you!!!!

DIE for the sake of all noobs out there... you are the very reason for this thread.

To my fellow AF members thanks for all your kind words you guys are killer This site is great!! OH and so is PBR

it would be nice to see a seperate forum that deals with full turbo upgrades and all the little problems that occur can be discussed without those "...which chip..., i want a BOV (lol, but seriously)...." questions. All i can say is that i am finally happy that my car has the full turbo upgrade and is running right...with every little upgrade, it caused another part to be insuffecient and caused problems....The car now is a totally different car, It's acutally fun to drive and pulls hard.
