Default Stripped screw on head

so that area under the valve cover i need to take off in order to replace the cam sensor (driver side back left close to the intake)
had a STRIPPED SCREW and my usual effective methods involve large amounts of metal shavings...is there anything i can do that doesent get metal shavings all over the place...and if you suggest hammering a torx in dont bother.

so far im thinkin hammering a chizle and having a friend hold a hose from my vaccum to suck up shavings as i go but i still feel like this will get **** everywhere?

By stripped screw it sounds like you mean the head of the screw, correct? You could get a small ezy-out and drill a small hole to extract the screw.. Or you could just drill off the head of the screw and remove the bolt once you have the cover off..

I wouldn't hammer anything (potentially) into the head
