How different are the 2.8 engines compared to the 2.7T? I got an idea to steal a manifold, turbo, and all the wiring and other stuff needed to complete it of a wrecked 2.7. How hard would this be? Or would it even be possible? does anyone make a turbo or even better twin turbo for a 2.8 quattro.

P.S. Its a 1998 2.8 Quattro 5 spd manual.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it'd all have to be custom and the 2.8 and 2.7 are very different (unless its the same engine and they're calling it two different things). It would be no different then putting a twin turbo on say...a 350Z.

 

its going to cost a lot of money.. dont know if you have the room to fit the turbos in there

 

I remember a guy on Vortex managing to do this with his passat but it was only able to run about 7-8psi and was never running right at all this would just cost way to much it would be cheaper to buy a S4 unless you are dirty rich and hella bored I would say do not atempt this

 

You aren't the first to suggest this. It's not economical or really feasable.
