You will not pass emissions. A test pipe its a simple pipe with 2 flanges. From the reading i did you will also get a CEL.

depends if the place you go can test AWD cars. if they can't test ur car under load, and you clear any codes before going or do the non-fouler mod, you will pass.

buddy that mod wont work trust me i tried it... u will always get the cel back. look into the shops some of them give fake tests and will pass u... might be a little more expensive but u'll be fine...if uare friends with someone who has a shop that does inspections just have them send u a sticker or inspect another car instead of urs. test pipes are amazing and u should get one

the test pipe replaces the cat, and the down pipe is the long pipe after the cat/test pipe
you need both the test pipe/cat and down piipe

um...yeah it does. sometimes the non-fouler's fail so you only get a CEL every 10k or so. oh noes!! if that's too hard to clear, then you don't want a tp in the first place. but the angle block actually works

like others have said if you can get past the visual inspection and they dont test under load you might get away with it, but i would think they would smell the unburned gas...

i did non-foulers and the CNC machined angle block and i still got an intermittent CEL from it... it would come on for a few days or a week then be off then randomly come back on....

the only permanent solution is to get REVo stage II or APR 1+ and ask for the test pipe file (that is for b6's, im not sure what options are available for b5's)

finally, though, if you can figure a way to do it or dont mind installing your cat once a year it is definitely worth it! quicker spool (im not sure how much quicker my poor k03 can spool though lower EGT's and definitely a few more HP, also my car cools down much quicker now too. Logging on Vagcom, it used to take 3-5 minutes depending how easy i drove my car the last few miles to reduce EGTs to about 400c now, it just takes about a minute......
