Okay, I get the point, I asked for FUNCTION, simple answer was "no"

I'll buy the H&R coilovers then (good bye $$$$$$)

it's a car man, no answer is ever simple.

Coil overs/sway bars and some decent rubber.

yeah there are many funtinal spoilers even on cars from the factory, and yes they can make a significant diff. cars like a porsche that has the pop up spoiler can see dramatic drag improvements from having it on the car. As a well rounded car like that cuts through the air the shape of the car start acting like an airfoil or wing. The inharrant propertys of a wing is that it will produce lift exponintaly at higher speeds. With the lift comes induced drag. just the act of disturding the laminar flow over the car at the back can dramaticly reduce both the lift and the drag. But for a simple answer, your car doesn't need one, Its not clean enough and It don't represent an airfoil. Now a wing on the other hand actualy creats down force but the amount you would be able to see placed thought the trunck lid of your car would push it thought the car befor it did you any good.

I heard something about first year TT's being recalled to have spoilers added... something about high speed stability.

Seemed wierd to me, but I DID read it somewhere.

I actually heard that too, it was a few years back and I think it had truth to it. Made me skeptical about the TT...then I actually learned about Audi's and would love a TT.

If you look at the car from the side it resemble exactly what I'm talking about. I heard the same thing something about at autobaun speed that the back end would lift off the ground or something, It plausible.
