Tie Rods...Finally
ORIGINAL: khj677turbo
My left front does this. Its an age thing, inbetween the bolts in the control arms and basically everything that goes into holding the suspension and wheel, has a rubber, or neoprene type bushing that over time gets worn and allows for some travel. It tends to make some noise. Be sure not to use wd 40 when lubricating them, since that will eat the bushings. Get some silicome sp? or i guess grease and soak it up, you may notice that your stearing feels a bit softer.
Anyway sorry for not being overly specific, my neighbor helped me out with this couple months ago and i forget things quickly so.

How much did that end up costing (please specify if you did it yourself)??
It's not that I can't get the money to do these things, but it pisses me off that I keep having to dig out of my CD to do everything. [:@]

Parts were $500 for the whole kit (includes the tie-rod ends) and it was $200 i think to have them installed. I would have done it myself but I was getting ready to move to California for school so I didn't have time.
