Tiptronic Transmission stutter / hesitation
I just inherited an Audi A4, 3.0 Cabriolet from my sister (no she didn’t die, she just couldn’t bring herself to accept $1500.00 for trade in from the dealer so she gave it to me.) It is a really nice car but has one problem that is driving me crazy. The car hesitates and jerks lightly on acceleration at just about any speed or accelerator pedal position when used in automatic mode. It runs like a top though when I use the manual shift mode. No slipping in any gear and smooth shifting in every gear. The only problem in manual mode is that sometimes (at random) it will not let me up-shift.
I just replace the battery, MAF (which was bad), Spark plugs, and vac hoses. Checked intake for leaks and found none. Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so, is there a solution(s)?

i have the same problem as you do. mine is B6 cvt 1.8t fwd. it doesn't shudder/hesitate when the engine/transmission is cold in the morning. but after like 10 mins of driving, it starts to do it.
I think in my case it's due to transmission fluid. I never change or flashed it. Even the owners manual says it's lifetime, but if not the case, why the car acting only when it's warmed up?
I went to the dealership and they said the transmission needs to be replaced. WTF. my car has only 63K miles on it, plus it has no electrical problems. not like the case that all the PNDS flashing.
how do you guys think?
i'm in California, and I'm looking for someone who flashed it before within the states. let me know if you could help.
