Hey guys just joined the forum cuz the vw vortex wasn't too great for help but I have a 99 A6 2.8. First I thought starter but it was good. Than it was starting but with my help by feathering the gas petal now and than and very rough idle We'll after that it than went into limp mode (4th) gear while on the highway all the time but if I shut off car and started it back up it would clear from limp mode and it is that trans range sensor which is on the outside of the tranny but dealer only part 540 bucks.

I do have a question about the radio code. When i nought the a6 i had to enter code but ive taken out original radio on both A6 and A4 Now if you put a head unit CD player in how do you use that code if needed or does it not matter anymore.

Bucking when I excellerate from a stop. Just now all my gears we're backlit for just a second then went back to normal. Can you send me a link or email on how to swap the circuit board under the shifter? From everything I've read that sounds like it could be my issue. Thanks for any help!!
