That is the same guide I used. I did the timing belt for the first time on any car. It's a time consuming job and will take 8-10 hours to complete but it's not complicated.

Dieselgeek.com sells a timing belt kit that comes with two long screws you use instead of the screws that hold the radiator assembly. This enables you to pull the whole radiator assembly about 3-4 inches away from the vehicle without disconnecting the whole thing completely. It saves a lot of time even though you do have to remove the radiator.

Follow the guide and it will be easy. The water pump/thermostat replacement adds about 1-1.5 hours to the whole thing.

thanks for that dieselgeek link zoti, that's a better price for the kit than ECStuning!

I paid an independent mechanic4 hours labor to do the job.
It cost me $700 with:
timing belt
2 front belts A/C & P/S
water pump, gasket and antifreeze
tensioner and damper pulley

jesus christ, looking at those pictures makes me really, really, not want to do my timing belt. [:@]

please, somebody tell me that it isn't as bad as it looks.
its definitely not as bad as it looks. Took me about 8 hrs the first time. I am prety sure I could do it in about 3-4 the second time around. There are some good writeups on audiworld.com, in the tech section.
