when you start your car...
think about this. you put your car in cc and your criusing at 70. you press you clutch in and start to loose speed (even though your still in gear). the cc module sees your slowing down and opens the throttle more but it doesnt help, so it opens the throttle more, your still not speeding up cause your clutch is in. pritty soon your at wot. idrove areally old topez that when you were in cc if you switch it to n (it was an auto) it would rev the engine like crazy.
There are actually 2 clutch switches... one at the top of the pedal travel and one at the bottom. The top one disengages the cruise control when you press the pedal, and the bottom one allows the starter to function only when the pedal is all the way to the floor.
Maybe someone bypassed the switches, or there is a bad ground causing the switches to not work the way they're supposed to.

Did the car ever have an aftermarket remote start?
My aunt decided to crank the remote start on her stickshift car one day while i was halfway inside the door, the car was in 1st gear, smashed my head pretty bad and fell out of the car. Lucky i didnt sustain any real injureiszz...

are you guys sure its just not part of audis design, on both of my audi ive had, ive never had to push in the clutch to start it( i still clutch to start nowadays), not sure about my last car, or really this one, but cruise seems to work, i was just messing around with the cruise buttons and all of a sudden im cruising at 40mph.so maybe its just an audi thing.
