I mounted my amp on the underside of the baffle board and used a screw for a bracket that holds the driver-side carpet wall up. Not sure if that makes much sense ill see if i put a pic in my DIY.

try lifting some carpet in the trunk to find some bare metal or under the back seat. The metal cant be painted so you might have to scrape some paint away. drill a whole where the bare metal is and place your ground there. if you are gettin any kind of light you must be getting power to the amp. having your rca's alone will NEVER light your amp. make sure where your ground is, there is a clean (paint free) flat connection to your chassis. it shouldnt be that hard to find a good ground source for your amp.

yeah im going with a bad ground. id say drill your own hole and ground it. Find a good spot of flat metal thats not welded in such as under the rear deck. drill a hole and watch for fuel, wires, etc. sand down to bare metal and put a bolt with a nut in it. Use can use some electrical grease to prevent rusting.

How are your speaker's wired? Are they single or double voice coil?

If you pinch or yank on the rca's you can damage them. If you have a boom box that has rca input you can see if it gives you sound. Or just use a volt meter.
