Hi, I have been trying to get my car to pass CA smog and every place I have taken it to says their smog machine wont hook up to my computer. I bought the special audi obd scanner and it wont work it just says scanning and doesnt do anything I waited over an hour tonight. The check engine light isn't on or anything. Please help with what may be wrong. I know it has power because the scanner powers up through it. Thanks for all your help

 

I had a problem like that once,turned out to be a missing fuse.

If you have an aftermarket radio remove the radio fuse.

Also ABS BRAKE lights on?

If so, unplug teh ABS module then you will be able to scan most likely..
