Default 2005 A6 "Left Dipped Headlight" How do I fix?

I was driving home the other night and suddenly my driver side xenon headlight went out and the display read "Left Dipped Headlight." I tried turning the headlights on and off numerous times but it will not come back on. What is the cause? Is the bulb simply burnt out or is it something else?

Does anyone have the service manual steps for removing/replacing the headlight bulbs?

Thanks in advance.

It's most likely the bulb. You don't need a service manual. just change the bulb. If you don't know how ask someone at autozone to do it for you.
