I have an audi a6 4.2 2006 that i am going to put new rear brake pads on. Anyone have a step by step instruction manual/advice or repair/maintenence manual?

 

Save the thin metal plates. Afix them to the new pads with a liberal coating of anti squeal. Make an oreo out of it so it acts as an anti vibe. The calipers twist back in you can get a tool cheap at any auto store. Either the clamp or the cube of keys. Remove the lip around the rotor if it is too large and interfears with the new pads, (if you are reusing the rotors). Bleed them when done.

 

Remove the reservoir cap before squeezing the caliper piston.....

 

You are going to need a VAGCOM.
