Default 98 audi a6 2.8 transmission?

1998 a6 quattro 2.8

trans last serviced 2+ years ago
no trans codes but multiple codes for emissions o2,cat,camshaft position.
repairs in the last 12months- alternator, radiator, heater core, transmission rear seal, all drive shafts, wheel bearings, tie rod ends and 4 wheel alignment.
hi guys,

so i have googled until my eyes hurt and i cant find the info im looking for, what are proper shift points? i have reset the shift points and the tcm. the trans shop says everything is normal and working as it should. the problem i am having is thus, when first started and car is cold the trans seems to take longer (higher rpms) to shift into 2nd, once the car has warmed up everything is awesome, but even once warmed up at around 30-33 mph i feel like the car should be shifting to 4th, sometimes it wont shift to 4th until about 40mph other times it shifts into 4th right at 30mph. it is scheduled to receive a trans service (fluid and filter) on Monday. it almost seems to me like it might be low on fluid or the fluid is worn as it has been 2yrs since last serviced according to previous owner. although maybe this is all normal and iv just never driven an Audi, haha. please any advice or input is appreciated.

The bold text in the quote above could be a MAJOR clue as to why this is so sporadic when the car is cold, yet doesn't really pop up when the car is warm. Your car is essentially guessing what fuel to air ratio to work with in this condition. So with bad cats and O2 sensors, this may actually be the cause of the issue, not the transmission.
