Hi can anybody help I have just bought an A6 2.8 quattro auto,T reg but it seems to be pulling away in second,and the triptronic mode will not work also it clunks when selecting drive or reverse.
As im new to audi ownership i know nothing about them Can anybody help please.

 

Are all of the indicator lights on the gearshift lit up? sure sounds like your trans is in limp mode. if so you need to vag com it and see what codes are showing also pull up the front passenger side carpet ou will find the trans controller under it in a black plastic box check inside to see if any water has gotten into it as this is the common cause for the trans to do this. If no water damage is present then vag com is needed to start your diagnosis.
