A6 Avant Brake&ABS indicator light
With my A6 Avant the brake indicator light will start flashing, audible beeps will be heared and the ABS indicator will come on steady.
The manual suggests brake fluid but the level is OK and dis-connecting the level sensor has no influence on the phenomena.
Connecting the VAG tool does NOT give an error code when diagnosing the brake modul (03) OR there is no connection possible. I did notice that when communication is established or disconnected with the brake module in most cases the indicator lights will go off.
This problem is intermittent and I have found no correlation with driving, braking, temperature or weather.
I read somehwere here on the forum with an A4 that this indication could also result from dirty/damaged sensors, or voltage fluctuations or the brake unit. (where is this located)
note the fact that the unit also not always communicates kind of suggest the last to me.
Any suggestions how to proceed?
Thanks
Martin
