I have a a6 1.8 t which doesnt seem to be boosting, sorry to be sovague but not got a clue, anyone have any ideas?

 

Pull any codes - lots of things could cause that...

Autozone or an Audi aware mechanic can do it - if you are into doing work on your vehicles and you plan to keep the Audi a while, you can get a VAG-COM to pull them with a laptop. Search the archives here or Google VAG-COM.
