Smile A6 Questions...

Hi guys,

Does anyone here own or has owned an A6 4.2 V8? I'd like some questions answered. Cheers 👍

Hi Dan,

I have just bought a 2002 S6 - but not sure which 4.2 you're asking about - you're probably aware that these early ones have cambelts whereas the latter ones have chaincams (which are an engine out job to do even though they're supposed to be "maintenance free" )

Can't say I'm especially technical though but am happy to try and answer any questions if i can, although you may be better asking on one of the more specialised 4.2 V8 forums elsewhere in this instance.
