Exclamation anyway to open the car with keys inside?

hey so i got a 97 audi a6 and being in a hurry today instead of getting the keys out of ignition i just pressed the lock button on the door and shut it and like a min later i realized i was SOL, so now I am wondering if there is anyway i can open it without calling the lock smith or using the coat hanger, like if i can open my car with another a6 key or just turn the key and wait untill the windows roll down?

u can get in with a brick!! lol Unfortunately there is no way to get in, especially with someone elses key. Audi would not allow you to brake in that easy. Ha. You can call your dealership and give them your VIN number and they may be able get a key cut for you. If you can wait

ah sorry Den. Don't you have a spare key somewhere?
My last car had onstar. I called them once and they unlocked the car via satelite. Incredible.

onstar is something else, I wish I had it in my audi. I watched a locksmith open a toyota with a coat hanger, the lock had a little edge on it for grip so it seemed easy. How do they do it on the audis? Do they have a special hanger designed for pushing the unlock button?

I was not going to respond to this.
I wanted to give everyone else an opportunity to reply with wise acre comments.
Boy was I disappointed!
All we got was a brick comment!

Don't count on the dealer to come up with a key from the vin number. It took him three tries to make a usable clone of my key. When I asked if this was normal he laughed and showed me shoe box half full of keys.

PS how about a can opener!!!

I hoping one of these other keys I got with the car that I have been keeping in my desk drawer will unlock the car.

Hope your car is still with original locks.
Just as with carfax - info only if there is a dealer's record - the key would fit.
No matter what way of opening the car will be chosen, I strongly suggest if you plan to keep the car - make at least 6 keys (normally 3 keys are enough).

(NH_USA,
I'm sorry for your bad key experience with dealers - key after VIN is a ROUTINE procedure - costly, yes..)

What about hammer, prybar, can opener, glass cutter, tow it to S Boston and watch one of the neighborhood guys get into it, purchased a case of expandable foam and fill the car thru a hole that you drill in the top - when it expands it will pop the doors open. etc.
