audi a6 2001 2.8l ....any turbos??
yea i mean i can strip a japanese car n lyk make a fast machine but audi is sumthin complicated german so i wouldnt trust my self on putting some on it.... so but ahh yea ill make vids of it today hopefully and yea it sounds lyk all crackling when when its switching gears but in a slow run its all deap n rumbly....flooring it jus take all the sounds away jus some rumble n motor sound....but yea ill post em up on youtube soon...

And BTW Wammy, that is irrelevant. The 2.8 does not have any forged internals, and has a 2 bolt main, where as the 2.7 has a forged crank stock and a 4 bolt main. Audi designed it to make and handle power, the 2.8 was not. And the 2.8 A6 stock puts about 130hp to the wheels, exhaust and chip will get you in the 140s. If you can get 150 AWHP from a 2.8 A6, you my friend are doing great! Stock 2.7Ts only put ~200 to the wheels. And another example, a 340 hp B6 S4, puts ~270 hp to the wheels, some dynos have shown as little as 230!!!!
O and BTW OP, your car does sound nice, very aggressive. Two thumbs up on that part!
However i agree that its a waste to turbo a 2.8. I mean, yea, you could do it but it would not be worth the money and time. We considered making headers for the 30v 2.8 but never did.
Hmm, did not know the block was drilled for the 4 bolt mains..... interesting. Headers arent even worth the time unless you have bookoo bucks. Supersprint is the only option and thats 1500 for a few hp. Thought about it for my perspective S/C build, but prolly not.

I now have some options to consider after reading all the comments.
I might look into sports air intakes and air filter and possibly chip it.
