Audi A6 with bad battery or alternator
I understand and agree but after i dried up the water, problem kind of went away. Atleast for now. 2nd day and I didnt have to use a jump start in the morning.
I just have to get the seal replaced so that water doesnt get inside.

So does anyone know if water next to the battery can cause it to drain or fail? It's been working fine since i dried up the water. Was that just a fluke or i should still look into replacing the batt. even though its working fine and the NTB test came out clean too. Thanks
I suppose it is possible for the water, which conducts electricity, to partially drain the battery. I would say wait it out. If NTB checked the battery and the alternator and they passed, I would not spend the $$ to replace them. I have both of mine checked annually at Autozone. I replaced the alternator at 75k (it failed hard after hitting a pot hole) and am running the original battery at 204k miles!!! I know the manufacturers are all cutting costs and quality, but I would expect more than 4 years out of an Audi battery.
