I'd like to know how good these cars are good for. I'm looking at an Audi A6 that has around 100k miles with the 2.8L V6 automatic FWD setup. It's a 2001. Do these guys usually run into the higher miles ok? Also how does it drive being a FWD and all?

 

Interesting handle, TD. I probably shouldn't speak up since I don't have a 2.8l, but I think it's safe to say that the 2.7T quattro is more complicated and I have had relatively few problems. I am a tad under 100k and fully expect to run this car beyond 200K. As a matter of fact, I look at it as a long-term keeper.

But do all the required maintenance and make sure you change the timing belt (if it has not already been done).
