Audi A6 Transmission problem?
Now, I would like to say, that I am a neophyte to the automotive world, but I am in the process of learning and looking things up on a regular basis.
My problem is this morning I was trying my car to school and when I shifted into second gear my display for PRND321 was all highlighted in red and the check engine light came on. I was reading around and this was called "limp mode." If I turn the car off wait a minute or two then turn it back on, the car's engine light is still there but I can drive for maybe a couple of minutes before the limp mode occurs again. I can still drive the car around, but getting from 0-20 is a very hard mission for the car at the moment. After it reaches 20 miles and up, it drives just fine, but everything is still highlighted and the engine light still present. Reading a bit, A user mentioned TCM but I'm not sure what that means. I plan to take a trip to my mechanic tomorrow to see what he says, I just figure to try and gain some advice so I don't regret dishing out a lot of money if I can prevent full replacements or anything all together.
I have a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro Automatic Transmission With the tiptonic feature, or somewhere along those lines. Advice will be great. Thanks

You have a 2000 Audi A6 with a blown transmission. Do you owe money on the car? Do you have a pile of cash? Good credit? Becasue you are going to either get rid of the car, or have your transmission repaired. After you do, you should get rid of the car because an A6 is NOT a car for someone with limited means.
Good luck,
Bob
