My recently purchased Avant does not have backup sensors. While doing an informal survey, I noticed quite a few other Audis do not have the backup sensors as well. I can only surmise that the Audi philosophy is "what is behind me is not important".

 

What is your point, that you should have looked at the car closer before you bought it? Besides, the backup sensors are notorius for dying which leads to much obnoxious beeping when the car is in reverse. So, count your blessings and learn how to backup the old fashioned way - by looking in your mirrors.

 

If you really want them, they are pretty easy to install. I installed a set on our minivan a couple of years ago on ebay for about $100. They were still working when we sold it a couple of weeks ago.

 

I see too few people in reverse and not even looking. Scares my poor audi. Please don't be one of those people.
