2000 A6 2.6L
Buzzing noise coming from Alternator after I turn off the car. Anybody know what is going on here?

Neither of my Audis have a buzzing alternator. In fact, I've never had a car make alternator noise. If you're in the states, I'd bring it in to an Autozone or equivalent and have the alternator and battery tested for free. But the 2.6 sounds like a European engine spec, so not sure what to suggest (unless you meant to type 2.8).

 

An alternator shouldn't make any noise when it stops and there is no power to it. Does you battery run down after awhile? If there was an internal short in the alternator, I would expect the battery to drain.

Where, on the 2.8, is the vacuum canister? The parts drawing shows it but doesn't say where it is located. It could be the canister or a hose leaking vacuum.

I know I'm a little confused myself. There is an auxiliary pump next to it too might be that...

 

There is "something" in my 2006 2.0 TDI buzzing after it have been shut down, i can only hear it under the car or with the bonnet open, it stops after a couple of minutes.

According to Audi-mechanics this is normal.
