yes,but i got it wrong. the mechanic from audi told me wrong too so when i changed the seals yesterday, i saw that i had missed one tooth. i had it at an non audi dealer and they got it right:-)
all the problems cost me little more money for some extra parts(that i did not need) but now i am happy thats ok. i can just sell the extra parts(chain tensioner, intake cam).

tnx for all the help guys!

How much for the tensioner? I think I may have a bad tensioner in my 2.8.

My intake cam on the left side of the engine has the same alignment problem you had. My engine runs fine, but there is a rattling noise on the left side. I plan to turn the cam one tooth to align the marks.

my tensioner is for the right side..so i cant help you there..Dont think it's the same on both sides.
if you have a rattling noice, maybe the plastic on the top/bottom of the tensioner is bad? if you turn one tooth the engine will not run fine..!
i have tryed several times with no luck. my last option was a mechanic, and the bastard did it right. c",)

OK, gentlemen, sounds like I have a similar problem with my A8. It' has low vacuum at idle (7 - 8 in Hg) / rough idle, has multiple misfire codes on Bank 2, (cylinders 5, 6, 7, & 8) . So it has horrible low speed performance, but runs like it's got a 'Hot' cam. Once the revs reach about 3000, it bursts with power, but low torque down low. I assumed it was an incorrect timing issue from the previous owner not doing a proper job on the timing belt change, but not sure where to start. Because there are no other codes except for the 5, 6, 7 & 8 misfires, does that tell me it is the timing belt that is off, or the bank 2 chain that is mistimed?

I really doubt that it is timing related. Check vacuum lines, coils and the ignition control module.
