climate control stuck on auto.
Hi, i'm new to this forum.
i have a problem with my climate control, after the car has been started and stopped ie. city driving, the auto button stays on and cannot be switched off! Anyone have any solutions?

Its stuck in basic settings, you need either a VAG COM or VAS scanner to perform the basic settings on the blend doors in the a/c unit.
In other words the flaps that change the direction of airflow don't know what position they are in.
Did you recently put in a new a/c control head or just buy the car?

auditech79 i will ask the guys at the garage if they can do that, thanks!
I bought it recently enough. When the engine is cold there is no problem you can either have the ac on or have it on auto. but when the engine is turned off and the restarted even afer half hour-1 hour it switches to auto. Car is an 04 1.9tdi a6 if that helps?
