yeah probably. i went with the smaller holes because it doesn't allow as much junk into the box as opposed to the big hole. they added a mesh lining to their big hole, my way was easier. the make your own cold air intake isn't such a bad way to go. for me there isn't a muffler place in town so i went the easiest/cheapest route. granted the metal intake always looks better in my opinion. if you have a muffler place i would recommend that way.

yea lol, i have no idea if theres a muffler shop in town actually, but i do have a friend who has a pipe bender in his garage lol....if i do it myself and go with the pipes and get rid of the box...what exactly do i do with the mass air flow sensor? bc looking at it, thats attached to mine just before the air filter housing...

that one i am not quite sure about. the MAF you definately need. that's why for now i am just going with the box and modding it. lol.

yea the MAF is the one connected to the little section of metal pipe just before my air filter housing, i have no idea where i can put that if i do a DIY job lol, then i have my IAT sensor off of that that i connected my surge chip to, but i have that out of the way and can move that wherever i need to

with this DIY message and the link to all the pics u made, or if anyone has done it this way in general, what did u do with the piece of plastic piping that ran from the airfilter box, to the front of the car? did u take that off? or leave it on so air is still being placed directly in the box, just with an added hole in it? if u need me to snap a pic so u understand what i mean, lemme know

i left mine attached ligist. i didn't want to change too much to the intake.
