Considering a purchase of a 2000 A6 2.7T
I'm considering buying (private sale) an A6 2.7 T:
125,000 miles
Automatic
The guy is asking 4,500, but I might be able to talk him down to 4,000. Is this a good deal? What type of things should I be wary of? What features does this year/model have?
Thanks,
CSAD

Audi's are great cars, but like any vehicle the higher the mileage the more the risk of problems. And problems with Audis (turbos, auto tranny) can be VERY expensive to fix. I suggest you do a search on "BUY" in this forum and then read all the responses already given to this question, which comes up weekly. As far as price, check KBB and offer low. If it helps, I bought mine with 37k and just turned 144k, but it has been gently used with mostly highway miles and maintenance is performed regularly. I've replaced the alternator and clutch/flywheel, and the headlight washers leaked and were sealed off years ago.
