Default Door issues -

The passenger door does not open easily. you have to pull up really hard from the outside to get the door to open. Many people cannot get the door to open. All of the other door open easily from the outside. What can I check/replace/fix to get the door working better?

Thanks

Open it up and close it easily, if you notice that it is un-aligned and lifting/scraping it's way into the closed position.pick-up some shims or make some from old credit cars or something loosen the hinge bolts put a floor jack (with some rags on top of it to protect the door) under the door to support it. There is a lot of adjustment in the hinges it will just take a little playing to get it right.

Make sure you have good tools for the hinge bolts they were difficult to break loose.

Could be the latch bar in the door too. You'd need to take the door panel off to see it.

Where would I look for the latch bar located? Do you have a picture?

No, sorry. I dont have a pic of it. But, the handle is physically linked to the latch release. If this is maladjusted or 'sloppy' it could do what your experiencing. You should see it easily once the panel is off.

If not, jack's idea would be the next thing to try.

I'd use some lubricant on the mechanism before taking everything apart. Start with some WD-40 and see if it helps. Spry it on the latch mechanism etc.

If it works you'll need to get more permanent oil/grease because WD-40 will dry out in a few days. I like spray white lithium grease but there are numerous others that will work.
