Default headlight troubleshooting

first post in a while, but just after washing the car driving down the road, lost the drivers side headlight. the only prior issue i knew of is the housing would accumulate some moisture from a small opening but nothing significant. now the bulb is out, tested it with a multi meter, no circuit. i cant identify the bulb, and i dont know what ballasts are installed, i know they arent original, considering i have the original ballasts in a box that i got with the car. the bulb looks http://xenconhid.win.mofcom.gov.cn/w...0892010851.jpg exactly like that one, with no mount to it, so it was kind of jerry rigged into the housing. i want to replace the housing with the rest of the work im doing on the car, but right now im just trying to find a bulb, since i cant find that exact style for sale, and get it working in the mean time, so i need some direction.

oh, and the other question being whats the variance from brand to brand generally on ballasts since i cant identify this one readily and dont want to mis match the bulb to ballast of course. and i cant find the ballast because im having a hell of a time just getting the light housing removed, top clips broke off after i clipped a guy, now at 4 am im trying to find the other attach points.
