help with maf sensor?
hi ppl
i have a a6 1.8t (2000)
my car has been running a little lumpy and not accelerating too well on the odd occassion. so i looked under bonet and seen that i have a split pipe on a breather pipe. i have recently changed the split corner peice of breather pipe. but it seems that its running more lumpy than ever and now at tick over when cold it a bit erratic. i have heard that this could be maf sensor - but seems coincidence that a split pipe and maf happened same time?
can anyone give me any info as to where the maf sensor is to clean it maybe? or replace it?
regards

The MAF cleaner is a good start, something else to consider is if there is air turbulence going over the MAF it wont read properly and could give similar issues. I have a 3.0 so not certain about that intake setup but something to consider.
