I was hit in a accident about 3 months ago, at the left front/side impact. replacing my complete front left lamps, windshiel fluid etc.

The insurance fixed it(other guys), and now after 3 months, I am getting a squeaking sound at the engine. I took it back to the same guy and he said that the idler pully needs to be replaced.

Now my question is will a 35m/hr accident cause the idler pully to get weary?

BTW i have 99 Audi A6. it has 80k on it now. It went through all the regular maintainece etc.

Any idea will the accident might have caused it?
and what would it cost me to get that replaced before i go to dealer?
