Default ??? On Audi A4 b6 1.8t timing idler pulley

Just installed a new timing belt along with tensioner and idler pulley. Noticed today after letting my car sit for a couple of days i went back to check the timing belt and the belt was loose. After starting the car up it tightend... Is this normal or should I redo the tension again. Any info is appreciated

Definitely not normal. Is the tensioner in the same position....? You have to turn it while an 10mm Allen sits in between the roller stop and tensioner base. Then tighten it down. Remove the Allen rotate over by hand twice and recheck
