Let's hear about it! How many miles on your A6?
I love this car! Bought her new and drive 500 miles a week both city and fwy driving. Average 22 mpg Have always used dealer for svc. A few age related repairs-fuel pump, engine mount- but continues to be a smooth, quiet, beautiful and fun car to drive!

Audi A6 Quattro 2.5 tdi (year 2000)
Once in a while, a "rogue" car comes off the production line. It was delivered to France and l bought it, used.
Has done 215300km, hardly uses any oil, fuel economy is great, and kickback in auto still amazes me. It's just so blimmin' fast!
Then of course it's on its third automatic gearbox, two new exhaust systems, four new electric front window motors and now needs a fifth, the aircon has packed up, and the onboard computer screen just cracked for no apparent reason and is now a bright red glow. The rear fog lamp has blown and the reversing sensors need looking at as one of them is faulty. Headlight glass is starting to fog up on the inside
Apart from the fact that it's going to cost me over €3000 to fix everything, l'm absolutely ecstatic and am really looking forward to when the timing belt needs changing.

Going to look at a 184K mile S-line after work tonight. Yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment. But for the askin price I could replace just about everything that could break and still be in it for less than if I bought one with half the miles. Or just throw in the towel and part it out.
